Black Rock’s Spring Sprint Nationals Gets Boost from Abtex and Watkins Glen NAPA

Rich Vleck, DUNDEE, NY (May 3, 2011)- Just days before Saturday’s Spring Sprint Nationals, Black Rock Speedway is proud to announce two partnerships that will help bolster this highlighted event.

 

Abtex Corporation, of Dresden, and Watkins Glen NAPA of Montour Falls and Ovid has signed on to sponsor the sprint and late model portions of this special showcase.

 

The action-packed card includes the best area sprint car, late model and micro sprint touring divisions, along with a Klein Steel Retail Enduro.

 

“This is an event we hope to make an annual deal the first Saturday of every May as a way to kick off the seasons for each of the tours,” stated BRS Owner/Promoter Dean Hoag.  “These sponsors stepping up to the plate just adds to the importance and attractiveness of this show.”

 

Abtex Corp. has been added to be the title sponsor the sprint car portion of the card, which includes the Patriot Sprint Tour, Empire Super Sprints and United Racing Company all sanctioning a single event in Dundee for the first time since 2006.  With $2,500 going to the winner and point races in their infancy, a healthy host of cars are expected.

 

Just this week, Watkins Glen NAPA helped to boost the BRP CanAm Late Model Winner’s share from $1,000 to $1,500.  Since the inception of the touring series, BRS has been a mainstay on the schedule, especially early in the season.  This purse boost should only add to the intensity tour races always bring with it.
