Annual Free General Admission Night this Friday at Black Rock

Rich Vleck, DUNDEE, NY, (August 13, 2013)- A week after one of the biggest race dates of the season comes another fan-favorite for a different reason.

This Friday Night, Home Necessities will present Free General Admission Night at Black Rock Speedway.  At almost every event in 2013, children 16 and under a free, but this week, everyone can feel like they are under 16.

Not only is it free to get in the grandstands, but the racing card is highlighted by 9 features, including six classes competing in the second Raceway 5 Challenge of the year.  This challenge is sure to bolster car counts and create even tighter competition.

With this being the penultimate event of the 2013 regular season, the point races are reaching the homestretch.  In the sportsman division, Donnie Lawson holds a solid 31-point advantage over defending champion Brady Fultz.  Lawson has a real possibility to lock up his fourth track title if he can leave Dundee Friday Night up 38 points or more.

There is no chance that the Late Model division champion will be declared this weekend.  John Waters atop the standings, but Jason Knowles, Bruce Miller and Brian Knowles are all within nine small points of the defending track champion.

The IMCA Modifieds also feature an incredibly-tight point battle.  Phil Yaw has won the last two events in the division and now holds a 6-point advantage over Rich Karlnoski with Jake Maynard only seven points behind.

Jeremy Potzrebowski is closing in on his first BRS Street Stock championship.  Potzrebowski leads by 35 points and easily could lock up the crown this weekend.  James Kreidler III and Jeremy Trank are in similar situations in the Signs Plus of Kanona 4-Cylinder Division and FWD 4-Cylinder Division, respectively.  The difference is that both 4-cylinder divisions will be running double features as those classes need to make up events lost to rain back in June.

To begin the night, the bandits will kick off the night as usual.  Allison Teed is leading the points by 16 points, but Joey Rodbourn and Matt Mashewske are still within striking distance for the title.

Race action will kick off at 6:45 P.M. this Friday.  As a reminder, for this event, outside food and drink will not be permitted in the grandstands.  For more information, visit www.BlackRockSpeedway.com
